Before I begin our day-by-day recap, I want to thank each and every person who donated to Feeding America on our behalf.
One thing I try to instill in my daughters is that it is a person's duty to help others. We love to hike, and we are fortunate enough to have an audience of readers who are kind-hearted and charitable. Hiking for charity is therefore a win for everyone -- we get to hike, which is something we do all the time anyway, and a worthwhile cause gets some much-needed funds.
The following is the list of people (as they wish to be identified) who donated to Feeding America using the link we provided (our virtual food drive). We exceeded our $2104 goal a few days after we began hiking the John Muir Trail. We are now at about $2200. THANK YOU. This is the real success story of our trip, and it's all because of the people listed below. So, once again, THANK YOU, kind donors!!
